AEU stands firmly on the confession of Christian Protestant Evangelicalism, following the theological tradition of John Wesley.
The entire family of AEU confesses the following according to the Apostle’s Creed.
1. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the only standard for faith, life, and academic discipline.
2. We believe in the Holy Triune God, existing eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. We believe that whoever believes in Jesus the Christ will be saved.
4. We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that the people of God are called to mission, education, and service.
5. We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ.
